Fantasy Syn: Underground Rules

Before embarking the draft and picking out your foot soldiers; some rules are to be followed. Rules here are not set in stone. The league you join will have final say on matters. These rules here are guidelines you see. Use them to help form a foundation for your league. If you do adopt our rules for you league, we will refer to them as “underground” rules.

Underground Rules

Welcome to the underground; a league made up of 4 teams who will play each other once during the regular season. Then the top 2 teams will face off in a single championship game. May the team with best chosen members win. Trades and free agent exchanges are only allowed during the first 2 weeks of the season.

Underground scoring is simple; kills and deaths. Every kill is worth 5 points and every death subtracts 3 points. Negative scoring is not allowed. Someone who has 0 kills and 3 deaths score will be 0; not -9. Each week begins on Sunday and ends on Saturday. Player scores will be calculated and released here Monday at earliest; Wednesday at latest. No extra points will be awarded for performing caps.

The underground roster is made up of at least 50 players. The players that can be chosen must meet the following criteria.

1. Well known
2. Not an alt
3. Fairly active
4. Participates in combat
5. Can get kills
6. In a gang
7. Not a event character
8. Level 7 or higher

Members of the roster will fall under a position category. The positions are as follow.

• Boss
• Right Hand
• Soldier
• Alt (we’re joking)

Word is…

Could morale get lower in Sinners? Survey says yes. Word is in a fight vs the Vipers, Crissy gave up and didn’t try fighting while others were slaughtered near her. Then the snakes made her cry enough to quit Sinners. Did the former snake forget what toughness and sticking up for family is?

Friends stick with friends. Word is Crissy’s bestie Amy left Sinners after Crissy. Then Tyr was promoted to Captain. Will he come out or wait for fights? Where will Amy go next? Omertà is looking very cushy.

Sinners are desperate and whoring themselves out for new members. Word is Shawn lured Petal into his house for a good time.

Fyng and Halo revived Vipers; are there any dynamic duos that can do the same? Word is former Mafioso bosses Wolf and Steff returned and joined Sinners. Will they redeem themselves or give up again?

The first result out of the new Jr Mod program is seen. Word is Hyst is promoted to Ass Mod. Congratz to her and DA. Were the other Jr Mods cut? We hope so.

Has that guy, you know what guy. yeah that guy changed? Word is yes or that is what he wants us to believe. He joined Omertà after the Cossy fallout from Vipers. We seen this act a few times before; his endgame is always rejoining Vipers. If he sticks, Omertà will reap the benefits of having 2 former snakes who were responsible for their rise to the top. Is Omertà gunning for that #1 spot?

Dina is in denial. Word is she’s fascinated with that guy. you know what guy. yeah that guy because he gives her the motivation to update her blog. Is she addicted to the way he lies?

Remember when families were special and inclusive? Word is Nonny; who is part of the Snow family with Anna, Fredo, Kay and Marcus has joined the Ormidale family with Craig, Dina, Red and some camper named Jax. Can Nonny find greener grasses?

You can’t turn the corner without seeing spam. Word is there will be elections next month and some are getting a head start. Be prepared to see more oversized boards, signs sprinkled over the ground, blimps in the air, 100s of the same signs and more annoying spam the mods will do little about.

Jessica has littered Syn with over 30 prims of campaign posters; some were plastered on landmarks and on the road.

DA continues to go through SAAs. Word is they found a new one in original DA member Kiers. Will she be their savior? Maybe they will have better luck with a illiterate stoner.

Is the tired out kingdom act over? Word is Samara changed her display name, removing “Queen” and ascii crowns surrounding it. But that is not all, is there possible trouble in the kingdom as she also removed “Venom” from her last name and sticking back to her maiden name of “Sangria”? Is Black in the royal dog house?

Fantasy Syn: Welcome

Intro
Imagine a Syn where mod crying doesn’t exist and more exciting, closer fights because of better balance between all gangs. Welcome to the zero drama game all can enjoy; welcome to Fantasy Syn. Soon you will be part of a league pitting your fantasy gang against another. Will your dream team be the wrecking crew earning brunsens/lindens each week? The only way to find out is to play Fantasy Syn.

Before creating your dream team; a league must be formed between players. Setting up a league is as easy as following a few steps.

Setup
1. Number of participants The number of participants is really the number of teams or gangs in the league. The more teams there are the slimmer the pickings on draft day.

2. The Positions What are the roles or categories within each gang? Presidents, vice presidents and soldiers? Low, mid and high levels? What position categories will you have? Alternative idea is to have none. Will vary on the league.

3. The Roster Who can be drafted and who can’t? Set the bans or allowed list before the draft or someone will pick Mach 2.

4. League Rules What is allowed and what isn’t? Can there be trades or a free agent pool? Is there a trade deadline? What is the end? Will there be play-offs? What will points be based off of? Gang fights? Kills/Deaths? Bonus points for performing caps? Extra point for rape?

5. Admins Whatever the league scoring criteria is; don’t forget to set the time range and days of week when this criteria will be recorded. At least have a second person or 3rd party recording for fairness.

6. Schedule Pick a date and time everyone can get together for the draft. Iron out the rules. Then work out the schedule when fantasy gangs will face off.

7. Rewards What is on the line? Bragging rights? Brunsens? Lindens? Submission? Are the bets weekly, seasonal or both?

8. Kick Off Have fun and enjoy. Join a few leagues if you can’t get enough.

 

 

Bullying

Just shaking my head and knowing that it will keep happening, and that i will have a mess to clean up at the Elixir. Thinking how people wonder why it is never open, or about bullying..and tops my wine glass off.. pulling out my phone to call hyst and izzy with the news~
[15:53] Sweet Valentine (sweetnsanity): ~writes out a message to the boss’~ Hosker has left the gang, and is packing up to leave Syn, There was an incident at the elixir, and He says he wont be back.. i will be busy cleaning up the mess there in a little bit, ~ hits send.. then debates what to do. knowing i cannot call the police, as he was in the bar drunk and witnessed everything. i just sit and wait. Picking up my wine glass and drink~

How does that feel? Sympathetic? Was what happened was wrong? Then why it continues to happen? Often? Is that quick kill worth the long term effects? Why?

What is the motivation to bully? There has to be one; right? Maybe we will discover that answer by breaking down the two personalities from this hideous act. The bully and the victim. Bully is a general term; we have a better one that is more specific to type of bully that roams Syn.

The E-Peen Those who play many online games are familiar with the E-Peen. It is a term to poke fun at the losers who take a game and turn it into meaning everything by forcing their arbitrary beliefs and rules. The online world gives them more power and control then they will ever have in their real lives. This power enables the E-Peeners to boost themselves, their status at the expense of others.This power excites them and becomes a drug. There is no end, it is never enough. The drive to boost their ego tempts them to continue down this path. Adding very little value to others who only play the same game for fun and entertainment purposes. We don’t get a medal for having the most kills. We don’t get a prize for reaching a high Kill/Death ratio. There is no gain from improving these numbers. To the E-Peener these numbers are more fun then enjoying a fun experience for others.

The Victims

The ones who are out making a fake, computer generated visualization feel more realistic; alive by creating value are the victims. There is no reason to go out without anyone around to role-play with. They bring people together and all of them are risking themselves into becoming potential targets. Bullies will wait for opportunities that only benefit them. These  E-Peeners will not venture out to create anything of value for anyone. They only come out to boost those arbitrary numbers that rate their existence among other E-Peen colleagues.

Above is the DCS card of the victim. You couldn’t tell by his low level that he has been playing at Syn for a few months because he doesn’t camp. Also by his DCS card you can tell he isn’t a fighter by having zero kills. Omerta knew he wasn’t a fighter and still came in as a group to gun him down because he was out of a safe zone and can be shot. Did he trash their property or raped one of their members? The answer is no. Was he out there adding value by creating role-play opportunities working at the bar? The answer is yes. Why was it deserved?

Fantasy

In the fall, American football begins in North America. Beer guzzling and nacho munching fans from coast to coast play this game called Fantasy Football. It is where a group of friends come together to form their own league. Every member of the league owns a team and before they go head to head against one another they have to build their fantasy football team through a draft.

This is football; American football and it looks like this.

The players drafted are real players from the NFL; an American Football League. The players can be from any team that are available. After every member of the league has their team set; they work out a schedule. Similar to the NFL, teams of the fantasy league will face each other every week. The winner is the one who ends up with the most points.

Unlike the real football league where points are determined by touch downs and field goals before time expires. The winner of the fantasy game is whose roster of players are more productive that week. Remember fantasy football teams are built from players from any NFL team. Every fantasy league has its own rules and ways fantasy points are given.

A simple example is a Quarterback; the player who throws the ball; may get 5 fantasy points per score and may lose 3 fantasy points for each interception; when a player from the other team steals a pass. The receiver; the player who catches the ball and scores may be on another fantasy team; receiving fantasy points for the same play. Depending on league rules, the receiver and quarterback may also earn 1 point for each completion.

Fantasy football is fun because every member of the fantasy league has their skin in many real NFL games. It sucks when your rivals wreck your home team but if some of your home team rivals are on your fantasy team; then you will benefit from the humiliation in the fantasy league.

Fantasy football adds a fun dimension to a already popular sport. What if there was a fantasy football version of Syn?

Word is…

We have a follow up to our last editions top story. Word is Cosmo is having second thoughts and wants back in Vipers. What ever happened to sticking up for Gussy and her so called real family? Maybe Vipers are her real family.

Snakes are gaining more tanks in their arsenal. Word is Halo has followed her man Fyng into Vipers. That is not all, we expected kill/death ratio protector Shisuka to rejoin Vipers when they are strong enough to protect her and guess what? She did. Challenging the snakes with the number of uber level members they have is suicidal. Who is looking forward to fall TV?

“Want to rejoin Vipers? Take a number Cosmo, Suka your number is next.”

Are the awards cursed? Word is the morale in Sinners is dropping since the ceremony. Some are avoiding fights; including the “best female fighter” Amy; while others are thinking about leaving or giving excuses. Sinners have lost some caliber with Smokey, Azanica and Tosh gone. But this matter is very serious with their Secretary Annabelle leaving as well. Didn’t we say failing to recruit former members is going to bite them later? Now we are going to call it, if Sinners lose another important member such as Amy or Sammy, it is the final nail in the coffin into the deep hole they have dug themselves into.

Why did Black win the most feared award twice? Word is the winner of the Best Male Fighter; Crisis chickened out of a possible 1v1 against Black.

Fyng and Halo are not the only game changing high levels to return. Word is former snake Death is seeking to return. With Precious out of Sinners, they should take him on to prevent becoming the next Mafioso. Great possibility Death’s girl Midnight will return and follow him where ever her man decides to go.

Is there a great migration? To Syn? Word is our favorite pervertedly weird man is back; Alister. Expect Hoes 4 Less to earn brunsens selling *surprise* sex, females getting stalked and noob girls submitting to this guy.

This past summer snakes benefitted greatly from recruiting former Sinners; entering this fall they are benefitting from recruiting former Vipers like Fyng, Halo, Angel, Suka and Buddy. Word is Blade has been seen. Don’t know who that is? Okay, we just wasted your time and our space on a nobody.

Farming is the way to go if you suck. Word is former snake pimp Fran returned and took a teleport pad down to the city. A few seconds later Nonny swings by to start aggressive rp to kill him. Fran has been out of the game for so long he forgot to draw.

“Damn baby can I take a few steps from the teleport pad?”

Don’t mess with Kali capish? Word is Markus is sleeping with the fishes after losing his 23 levels. The mobster gangster let everyone in OOC know how he feels about Kali. We can’t blame him for losing years worth of experience. Kali has all of us by the balls.

Did your main get banned? Word is you can get it unbanned by displaying good behavior on an alt. It worked for that guy. You know what guy; yeah that guy that does this every year.

Once a player, always a player. Word is Smokey used and dumped Diamond like he did with Ricky. Then left Sinners and took Azanica with him.

Smokey will hit that.

The fall

Legacy of blood sport dividing us; altering in refinement uniting us in a pool of blood of our enemies, rivals, friends and allies. Divisions and boundaries blurring; hate succumbing. Warriors of light rooting for creatures of the night. Losers benefitting in the spoils of victories. Rivalry bitterness drowning into ear shattering cheers and applause. New dimension enters our game; any outcome blesses or curses. It is real, yet very surreal or is this purely fantasy?

Notes: Numbers are very high this month due to war day. Everyone listed participated in War Day except for Miss Sammy; who got a whopping 22 kills without war day. Amy almost got all her kills on war day. Fyng returned sometime 2nd week august and slaughtered 29 to pass Black.

Word is…

Vipers lost some members. Word is Amber was working to get certain people in her family to change because she is tired of defending them to admins. Apparently Gussy went off about it; then Black had someone do the dirty work of giving Gussy the boot. Afterwards Gussy’s real family, Cosmo and that guy. You know what guy. Yeah that guy stuck with Gussy and left snakes.

Former Sinner Poppa is back. Word is he was seen hanging out with Omertà and Sinners at Ireman Park. Neither gang recruited him; then he went to catch up with ex-Sinners Precious and Zeke. Will he turn snake?

Big Poppa Pump is back. Holla if you see him.

Fredo wants to come back. Word is he will only come back under the right conditions. Those conditions involve a strong gang accepting him.

Another old timer returned, Terry. He was also seen at Ireman Park hanging around. The former snake is feeling things out for now.

Apparently the Vipers/Sinners boss meeting with Kali last week was a success. Word is Kali held another meeting that included all the gang bosses. Whacked, Fyng and Halo were also invited. Did Kali need extra security?

Don’t you want to be part of a Kingdom? Word is you peasants will have to pledge to the so called King and Queen of our city; then you will either be part of the “Kingdom of Syn” or “Kingdom of Syn City” group.

No, we are not making this shit up.

Sinners are taking another page from the Vipers playbook. Word is they are starting to camp alts to take on snake alts who are only used to attack during rescues.

Matchup nightmares against Sinners are about to become worst. Word is Smokey, Crissy and Icarus are coming back. Expect round the clock backup coverage if no currently active Sinner takes a break.

Believe it or not, there is one snake that cannot be modded. Word is Vipers plastered a sign stating “the only Viper that can’t get modded” with a pic of the snake rezzed at their front door. It didn’t last long as “the only Viper that can’t get modded” got modded for breaking sim rules against rezzing animals.

When Black levels up it is a holiday for the Vipers boss. Word is he takes off to make an unexpected appearance when many are actually awake. At level 28 he celebrated with his Vipers family a good ass whipping courtesy of Omertà.

Black, go back to your regular time slot of ruling for 2 hours each night.

Everyone knew Fyng was planning to leave PD to join the snakes. But that is not all, Fyng doesn’t want to be just a snake. Word is he is seeking a high role within the MC. Fyng has a track record of aiming high and doing whatever it takes. Vipers never filled the Captain role Lamont left behind and like their rivals; lacked a quality SAA for ages. Perfect time to show others how fast they can bounce back.

Vipers want to change their HQ. Word is snakes learned why Omertà won the best HQ award on War Day. It was so good they wasted no time as Amber was seen working with pending member Fyng on the next iteration of their HQ.

The Mayor has a new project. Word is he wants to build a school somewhere in Syn. Maybe Vipers can learn the difference between IC and OOC, Shink can learn para-rp and Miss Sammy can learn proper english yo.

Another one bites the dust.

If you are looking for a combat sim where people voice chat instead of roleplaying; you are out of luck. Word is the once popular DCS combat sim Badwater is closed. It had a good run until all the drama lamas took over the gangs and drowned the mods in their stink.
